Yooooo, my dude. If this is for real, that’s either sous vide no sear or severely undercooked, probably baked or boiled by the look of it. Be careful. Don’t get sick.

It’s great you’re trying new things by yourself! Maybe next time a trusted adult like a parent or teacher could supervise?

How long did you boil it

Serious feedback if you want it, use more oil in a hotter pan and pat the steak dry with a paper towel on both sides right before putting it in the pan to get a nice crust instead of having that soft grey exterior

Well try again. . . but not on that one though, it’s already dead.

I know I don’t have to eat it but damn why you have to do it like that? You could have seared it and then had it like nice and pink in the middle I don’t know what you did to this.

You’re getting a lot of stick here OP, but we all start somewhere! Here’s how I’d cook a steak.
Remove the steak from the fridge for a good 30 mins to bring it to room temperature. (I do this with all my meat before cooking.)
Get the heaviest pan you have, preferably cast iron. Heat it very gently for say 20 mins. You can prep the steak and any sauce in this time.
Cover an area of the chopping board in salt and pepper. Pour/rub olive oil all over your steak, and roll it over the salt and pepper. Make sure the entire steak is coated on all sides. Don’t be shy with the salt and pepper.
When your pan is absolutely piping hot, add the steak. You don’t need oil because it’s already on the steak, and this will prevent your kitchen smoking.
The pan should be so hot that the outside colours really nicely. Turn it over, and cook to your liking. For the last 30 seconds add in a good chunk of butter. With maybe some fresh thyme, garlic. Baste the steak in the butter.
Remove from the pan and let it rest. Cover in foil, especially if it’s winter. You not have 5-10 mins to make a sauce. I recommend Argentinian chimchurri. It will change your life 😀

Knock off the horns, wipe its ass and throw it on a plate.

My tip for a steak: rub both sides with olive oil and sea salt. Get the pan to 200 celcius, throw it on. When you can see it cooked close to half way up the side turn it. Only ever turn it once.
